3.4.1.1 Vibration; ready and ready nonoperating condition. The motor,
mounted as shown in Figure 1, shall be capable of meeting the performance
requirements after being subjected, in the ready condition, to the vibra-
tions defined in Table I. The motor shall be vibrated for 180 minutes
each in its longitudinal axis and in two mutually perpendicular transverse
axes at any temperature within the range of -450F to +140 F. Vibration
is defined in 6.3.1.
3.4.1.2 Vibration; packed. The motor shall be capable of meeting the
performance requirements after being subjected, in the packed condition
(see 5.2), to the vibrations shown in Table I.

3.4.2 Shock. The packed motor ( see 5.2) shall be capable of withstand-
ing the shock of being dropped on a nonyielding surface from a height of
36 inches. Additionally, the motor, in the condition shown in Table II.
shall withstand shocks specified in Table II.
